Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner

Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) - $135k-$165k annual salary . PMHNPs are needed for an outpatient/community health organization in Queens, NY . Prior experience working in psychiatric care, preferably in an outpatient or community health setting required. This is a full-time direct hire opportunity. Paid medical insurance and PTO offered . High integrity and character are a must.

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to join our client's team at a community health center dedicated to providing high-quality mental health care to underserved populations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in psychiatric care and a passion for serving diverse communities.

Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment plans for patients across the lifespan.
Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in accordance with evidence-based guidelines.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and case managers, to deliver holistic care.
Educate patients and families on mental health conditions, treatment options, and medication management.
Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and provide follow-up care.
Document all patient interactions and treatment plans in the electronic health record (EHR) accurately and promptly.
Participate in community outreach and education initiatives to promote mental health awareness.
Stay up-to-date with advancements in psychiatric care and maintain compliance with state and federal regulations.

Requirements:
Active and unrestricted PMHNP license in NY.
At least 2 years of experience working in psychiatric care, preferably in an outpatient or community health setting.
Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC).
Experience working with diverse patient populations, including those with co-occurring disorders.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Please note- The annual base salary range is $135k to $165k. Actual compensation offered to the successful candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level, among other things. Details about eligibility for bonus compensation (if applicable) will be finalized at the time of offer.
