Position Summary
Job Description:
The Stabler Department of Nursing is seeking to hire a part-time PMHNP faculty to teach 6 contact hours per semester (summer, fall, and spring) or 18 contact hours per year. Applicants should have an established record of teaching or precepting in nursing. The candidate will teach online courses at the graduate level, advise students, supervise clinical experiences, and plan competency assessments. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team in the Stabler Department of Nursing.
Outcome:
Successful hiring of 1 part-time faculty to teach in both the online and clinical setting in the PMHNP track.
Essential Functions
Maintains current knowledge related to clinical policies and procedures.Serves as a professional role model for other faculty, staff, and students in the clinical setting.Evaluates weekly assignments and provides feedback to students in a timely manner. Adheres to applicable regulatory rules and standards.Experience and Education Required
Licensure as a PMHNP in Pennsylvania or MarylandLicensure as a Registered Nurse in PennsylvaniaAt least 2 years of experience as a PMHNPExperience in teaching or preceptingRequired Skills and Qualifications
Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team. Part-time faculty work in collaboration with full-time faculty to provide a safe and supportive learning environment that assists students in the integration of knowledge, interprofessional communication, and development of professional values in the clinical practice setting.
