ED/Acute Care Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry in an emergency department setting, with a focus on providing high-quality psychiatric evaluation and management.
Opportunity Highlights: - The Inpatient Psychiatrist will be caring for approximately 8-12 patients a day
- 7 on / 7 off schedule
- Ability to teach Novant Health Psychiatric Residents
Candidate Qualifications: - Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
Responsibilities & Duties: - Conduct psychiatric evaluations for disposition (admission, placement discharge) and provide timely assessments for inpatients and outpatients
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case discussions
- Call rotation with other acute care psychiatrists
