Core Faculty, Psychiatry Opportunity: Philadelphia, PAPosition Details

  • Must be Board Certified.
  • Will consider candidates that are board eligible as long as they are interested in teaching and intend to become board certified in the very near future.
  • Actively participates or leads teaching activities in the area of psychiatry
  • Participates in the teaching program for residents.
  • Performs other academic-related administrative duties as assigned.
  • Participates in research and scholarly activities.
  • Interest in academia/support of department residency program through participation in didactics, supervision of residents.
  • Contributes to the clinical, education and scholarship missions of the department.
  • Conducts thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments.
  • Implements evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address diverse mental health challenges
  • Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients.
  • Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders.
  • Prescribes and manages psychiatric medications as needed, monitoring patient responses and adjusting treatment as needed.
  • Stays current with advancements in psychiatric practices and research.
  • Participates in case conferences, clinical supervision, and staff meetings when appropriate.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Proficiency in medical principles and methodologies.
  • Superior administrative and organizational skills.
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent Written and Oral skills required.
  • Proficiency in working with an electronic medical record.
  • Office provides administrative support including scheduling, credentialing of provider, billing, etc.)
