Job Title: Psychiatrist
Join a thriving Psychiatry team in Muskegon, Michigan. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work in a dedicated inpatient psych unit within a collaborative and supportive environment. Job Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a behavioral health unit.
- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of professionals including APPs, RNs, social workers, and case managers.
- Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to care discussions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with flexibility.
- Share weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule.
- Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows.
- Explore interests in research, outpatient care, or leadership roles aligned with provider goals.
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible (to become Board Certified within 2 years of becoming Board Eligible) - REQUIRED
- Valid Michigan medical license at the time of employment - REQUIRED
- DEA license - REQUIRED
- BLS Certification and maintain recertification - REQUIRED
License and Certification Requirements:
- Valid Michigan license

- Board Certified or Board Eligible with the expectation to become Board Certified within two years
