Job Description:
- Provide comprehensive psychiatric care for adult inpatients in a dedicated behavioral health unit.
- Perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health conditions, and manage treatment plans.
- Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications in coordination with the care team.
- Collaborate daily with a fully staffed, multidisciplinary team including APPs, RNs, social workers, case managers, and other specialists.
- Participate in daily clinical rounds and contribute to patient-centered care discussions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record system.
- Work a consistent Monday Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with built-in flexibility based on provider needs.
- Share in weekend call coverage on a rotating 1:4 schedule.
- Option to pick up additional shifts for extra compensation if desired.
- Engage in teaching and mentorship of medical students, residents, and fellows within an academic-affiliated environment.
- Opportunity to pursue additional interests such as research, outpatient care, or leadership roles depending on provider goals and departmental needs
- Open to experienced Board Certified provider or TRULY Board Eligible recent graduates
- Open to new graduates and experience
- Physicians must be board certified in their specialty, or board eligible and will become board certified within 2 years of becoming board eligible.
- Not accepting candidates who have lapsed Board Certification and need to obtain again
- Not accepting Locums candidates
