• Monday-Friday, 8-hour days with split night call

Clinical Details :

• Covering consults, new admissions, discharges, and emergencies
• Adult inpatient psychiatry with 2 units totaling 37 beds, divided between 2 physicians and 2-3 residents
• Census: Up to 37, typically 30+
• Average length of stay: 5-7 days
• Rounding on 15-18 patients per day
• Consult service averages around 3 new consults per day plus follow-ups
• Family practice manages H&Ps for adults and C&A
• Average adult admissions: 5-7, daily discharges: 4-5, with peaks of 8-10 admissions and 6-8 discharges
• C&A Unit Info:
  • Psychiatric Team: 1 Psychiatrist and 1 Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (MHNP)
  • Number of Beds: 25
  • Census: Approximately 20
  • Average Length of Stay: 10 days
  • Daily Rounds: 10-14 patients
  • Daily Admissions & Discharges: 2-3 patients
  • Consults: 1-2 per day on consult rotation
  • Typical Cases: Adolescents aged 13-17 with primary psychiatric diagnoses, including depression with suicidal ideation, mania/mood dysregulation, and occasional early onset psychosis
• Patient Volume: 7

Requirements :

• Board Certified in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry
• DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active
