Requirements and Qualifications
- Candidates must have either CPI or HWC certification to be considered.
- Orientation occurs twice monthly.
- Facility department: Behavioral Health.
- Required certifications: AHA BLS.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute inpatient behavioral health.
- Ability to float within units of the Behavioral Health Department.
- Must possess an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Unit Information
- Specialty: Psychiatry.
- Number of Beds: 81.
- Patient Ratios: 1:10; 1:13; 1:15; 2:20; 2:23.
- Equipment: Omnicell.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) system: CERNER.
- Patient Population: Adult, aged 18 and above.
- Common diagnoses and treatments include acute crisis stabilization for psychiatric disorders and substance withdrawal/detox.
Expectations
- Shift: 12-hour shifts, 36 hours guaranteed weekly.
- Weekend work required every other weekend.
- Must adhere to dress code, which requires any scrub color, but excludes denim and camouflage attire.
