Job description
MDM Search and our Regional Mental Healthcare partner are seeking a licensed Psychiatrist to join our Nevada practice in a Regional Director role providing comprehensive behavioral health services to adults and geriatrics in a variety of clinical settings and managing administrative responsibilities in a 60% / 40% time split.

Service areas incorporate Las Vegas, Henderson, Reno, Sparks, Carson City, and Rural Nevada.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Conducts psychiatric examinations.

• Makes diagnoses and prescribes therapy.

• Administers and interprets projective tests.

• Participates in staff conferences and recommends appropriate treatment approaches.

• Assists in developing and organizing a program of clinic treatment.

• Directs case conferences. Serves as a consultant to other clinic staff.

• Confers with patients regarding illness and treatment.

• Assists through consultation in establishing psychiatric programs and policies.

• Keeps medical records and prepares psychiatric reports.

• Completes other duties as assigned.

Job Types
Full-time, in-person, some travel required (30% estimate)

Requirements

• Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry and two years of post-residency experience as a psychiatrist in a psychiatric facility required.

• M.D. or D.O. degree from an accredited medical school.

• Licensure as a physician in Nevada or willing to attain Licensure.

• DEA - Prescribe controlled substances - XDEA not required

• Possession of a valid state driver s license may be required. Required Skills/Abilities

• Knowledge of general medicine and psychiatry; current developments in the field of psychiatry; hospital and clinic organization, management, and procedures.

• Ability to skillfully diagnose and treat severely and persistently mentally ill patients.

• Ability to analyze situations and adopt an effective course of action.

• Ability to prepare records and reports.

• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

• Ability to maintain objectivity and confidentiality. Benefits
