Title: DBCP Proxy Engineer
Location: Southeastern or Mid-Atlantic U.S.
Description:
We are seeking a skilled DBCP Proxy Engineer to support network security operations and ensure that policy and configuration changes to security platforms align with enterprise standards. This role involves working with proxy and firewall technologies to identify risks, maintain policies, and support network security teams in addressing technical issues.
Responsibilities:
Ensure policy and configuration changes to network security platforms (including internet proxy and firewalls) align with enterprise standards and do not introduce unmitigated risks.
Manage internet proxy platforms, evaluating risk categories and the threat level of access requests.
Maintain and update proxy policies, incorporating new risk categories and ensuring compliance with evolving security requirements.
Work with IP address management tools, exception management systems, documentation platforms, and spreadsheet applications to efficiently process security requests.
Validate connection requests against official records, collaborating with users to ensure data accuracy.
Respond to customer inquiries promptly and meet service level agreements (SLAs) for request resolution.
Collaborate with customers and technical teams to diagnose and resolve security-related issues.
Work alongside proxy, network, and firewall engineering teams to develop security solutions for new use cases or connection patterns.
Support exception remediation efforts and maintain security best practices.
Follow documented procedures for processing requests and interacting with stakeholders.
Required Skills:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on internet proxy or network firewall operations.
Experience managing network security configurations, troubleshooting, and policy enforcement.
Familiarity with security concepts such as HTTPS, TLS, IP addressing, and network segmentation.
Proficiency in using documentation and collaboration tools such as spreadsheets and enterprise platforms for security operations.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate technical issues effectively.
Desired Skills:
Experience working with major firewall and proxy security platforms.
Familiarity with cloud-based security controls, including cloud network security services and compliance tools.
Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or equivalent security certifications.

Pay range: $61.25-$87.50 per hour
