Idaho National Laboratory is hiring a Protective Force Senior Lieutenant to work in our Protective Force Security Operations department. Our team works a 4x12 schedule located out of our Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC). All work is performed onsite. You will direct the daily operational activities of Protective Force Personnel. You will be the Senior Protective Force representative at MFC during all work hours. You will report to the facility Protective Force Area Manager, Major, and Protective Force Captains. Responsibilities Include: Supervise Protective Force security personnel and manage their schedules. Monitor and conduct training as outlined in the Annual Training Plan. Conduct monthly Alarm Response Assessment Performance Tests (ARAPTs) and Limited Scope Performance Tests (LSPTs) in accordance with DOE orders. Be responsible for availability, control, and the proper use of equipment used by Protective Force personnel. Respond to all security emergencies, and develop tactical crisis resolution plans and contingencies. Ensure Protective Force members maintain high levels of training to enable them to respond, assess threats, deny access, and neutralize threats at MFC. Act as guide to work group or sub-work group and may become actively involved to meet schedules and resolve problems. Use ingenuity to meet customer need and maintain required protection strategies. Make decisions daily about security operations. Confer with Shift Captain, Major, and Area Manager on unusual matters. Work with Facility Managers to ensure facility operations and security meet operational goals. Direct employees according to established policies and management guidance. Monitor work and processes for accuracy and completeness against plans and standards. Administer company policies that directly affect subordinate employees. Apply experience in that area to effectively manage daily operations. Troubleshoot and resolve problems. Minimum Requirements: High school diploma, or equivalent, and 2 years of experience as a Protective Force Lieutenant or military or law enforcement equivalent. Meet 10 CFR 1046 physical fitness standards. Ability to obtain HRP certification. Ability to obtain NTC TRF 100/200 certification. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy "Q" clearance, which requires US Citizenship. You will be expected to obtain and maintain the following: Human Reliability Program (HRP) Certification 10 CFR 1046 physical fitness standards NTC TRF 100 Certification Job Information: The target pay range for this position is $81,772 - $124,893 annually. The full pay range is $76,980 - $177,036. At Idaho National Laboratory compensation decisions are determined using factors such as education, relevant experience, and other credentials.
