We are seeking a Proposal Specialist (Customer Engagement Specialist) who will provide a broad spectrum of administrative services in support of Cascade's sales efforts. The role requires the ability to self-manage time and duties, a desire to learn on-the-go, and excellent organizational skills. The CE Specialist works within a team atmosphere and thrives in an environment of continuous learning and improvement. The CE Specialist interacts with and supports a group of internal customers focused on selling our work to utilities, corporations, and municipalities and managing internal systems. It is essential that the CE Specialist maintains a professional demeanor, be responsive to requests, and is able to prioritize competing demands. Independent judgment is required to plan, organize, and execute a diverse, rapidly changing array of tasks.

What You Will Be Doing:
  • Providing general administrative support to members of the Proposal and Customer Engagement teams, including scheduling, planning, participating, and taking notes during meetings and all follow-up items.
  • Working with the Sales Team to develop and maintain manuals for our Sales and Proposal processes (Sales Best Practices).
  • Maintaining onboarding resources for all Customer Engagement team roles.
  • Assisting with the administrative requirements of high-value proposals being developed for Cascade's existing and prospective customers in collaboration with the Business Development Directors, Proposal Coordinators, Business Analysts, and other teams across the company (Finance and Accounting, Legal, etc.).
  • Helping to maintain a detailed internal repository of proposal materials, content, tools, and business information.
  • Entering data into and helping maintain Cascade's customer relationship management (CRM) system, Pipedrive.
  • Maintaining proposal tracking tool, working with Sales team to keep information updated.
  • Creating new accounts and updating company information in procurement portals and monitoring lists of sales opportunities, along with managing Cascade's applications for trade ally status and keep our list of programs up to date.
This is a full-time, non-exempt hourly position to be located in Portland, Oregon.

Qualifications

Applicants for this role are required to have:
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred (or significant coursework completed), with preference for business administration, project management, or similar area of study.
  • Two years or more of work experience in a team-based role.
  • Familiarity with both SharePoint and CRM's
  • Great attention to detail is a KEY requirement for this role
  • A homework assignment or request for work samples will be included in the hiring process for this role.
A successful candidate should also demonstrate these preferred characteristics and/or skills:
  • Strong MS Office skills, especially Outlook and Word, and the ability to use Excel or other data analysis tools
  • Critical thinking and exceptional problem-solving skills
  • Proactive, resourceful, and highly motivated with effective communication skills and the ability to achieve results

Compensation & Benefits

Our total rewards include competitive pay and excellent benefits. These include health, vision, FSA or HSA options with an employer contribution, life insurance, short- and long-term disability insurance, paid parental leave, 401k retirement plan with a guaranteed 3% contribution, Employee Stock Ownership Program (ESOP), annual cash performance bonus, paid vacation, sick time, and an inclusive, flexible paid holiday policy, wellbeing contribution of $500 for HSA, FSA, or LSA (Lifestyle Spending Account).

This is a non-exempt, hourly role in Portland, Oregon. The range is $22.72 - $28.42/hr. ($47,250 - $59,115/year). However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
