Applied Research Solutions is seeking a part-time Proposal and Business Plan Development Manager located at WPAFB, OH. The Proposal and Business Plan Development Manager's primary function will be to support the Air Force Institute of Technology's Office of Research and Outreach with proposal development, business plan development, and research grants administration. The role will primarily focus on assisting with a variety of federal and non-federal proposals and contributing to the development of business plans. Why Work with us ? Responsibilities include: Assist with the preparation of technical and financial proposals for a variety of federal and non-federal entities. This includes working with faculty, researchers, and staff to ensure all proposal components are well-organized and meet submission requirements.
Support training efforts for Research Grants Administrators and Principal Investigators (PIs) in understanding sponsored programs processes and proposal development best practices.
Contribute to the creation and refinement of business plans for various initiatives, ensuring alignment with both organizational and external goals.
Work closely with a diverse team of leadership, faculty, researchers, and staff to ensure smooth operations and high-quality deliverables.

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements: Must be a US Citizen
10 years of relevant experience with Business Plan Development and military environment
Bachelor's Degree
A thorough understanding of typical Sponsored Programs Office processes, including proposal development, compliance, and submission.
Experience with technical and financial proposal preparation, specifically for higher education research projects. Ability to work with various proposal components such as budgets, scopes of work, and technical content.
A high level of organization, attention to detail, and motivation to resolve issues and ensure accurate and complete proposals and plans.
Strong background in developing business plans, especially in a research or academic setting.
Experience with federal proposal calls, including Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) opportunities.
Background in or experience with military-related projects or initiatives is preferred.
