This position functions as a policy implementing manager, that organizes, executes, controls, and evaluates the operation of Agency's Property Control Policy and oversees Annual Property Inventory. Essential Functions Serves as the Property Manager for the Illinois Emergency Management Agency and Office of Homeland Security (IEMA-OHS). Organizes and develops policy, goals, and objectives and evaluates the outputs of ongoing property tracking. Travels regularly to alternate IEMA-OHS facilities in performance of job duties. Directs and supervises staff and establishes performance goals and objectives. Oversees property assignments in conjunction with personnel actions. Completes special logistics-related projects assigned by Management Team. Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above. Specialized Skills Requires two (2) years of experience in property management, emergency management, or a similar field. Minimum Qualifications Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years of college, preferably with coursework in business or public administration. Requires two (2) years of responsible administrative experience in a public or business organization. Preferred Qualifications Two (2) years of experience in property management, emergency management, or a similar field Two (2) years of professional experience in property accountability/inventory management. One (1) year of supervisory or lead worker experience. One (1) year of experience with Microsoft Office Suite products, including Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint. One (1) years of experience working with SAP state financial reporting system. One (1) years of experience establishing policies and procedures. A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A. An OSHA Certified Forklift License. Conditions of Employment Requires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriate. Requires appropriate, valid driver's license. Requires ability to drive a state-supplied vehicle as needed. Overtime is a condition of employment, and you may be requested or required/mandated to work overtime including scheduled, unscheduled, or last-minute overtime. This may require the ability to work evenings and weekends. Requires ability to use agency-supplied equipment (cellphone, laptop, etc.). Requires a criminal history check through the Illinois State Police. This position is considered heavy work as defined by the U.S. Department of Labor (20 CFR 404.1567(d . Heavy work involves lifting no more than 100 pounds at a time with frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
