This recruitment is being conducted under the Operation Hire Hawaii (OH-HI) project, a targeted outreach initiative featuring an expedited hiring process, fast-tracking qualified applicants into job opportunities throughout Hawai'i.

Salary:

Level II - $4,495 per month (SR-18, Step D)

Level III - $4,858 to $5,918 per month (SR-20, Step D to I)

Level IV - $5,258 to $6,399 per month (SR-22, Step D to I)

Level V - $5,918 to $7,198 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)

Duties Summary
Level II:
Receives advance training and assists in an advanced trainee capacity in activities pertaining to the management of real properties and facilities; and performs other related duties as required.

Level III:
Independently performs a variety of work of average scope and complexity in the management of real properties and facilities; and performs other related duties as required.

Level IV:
Performs the full range of work in the management of real properties and facilities, which regularly encompasses work of a complex nature; may supervise lower-level property managers; and performs other related duties as required.

Level V:
Working supervisor responsible for supervising and participating in activities relating to the management of real properties and facilities including negotiating, promoting, and soliciting the leasing of real properties and facilities available for business purposes. Subordinates include lower level property managers and clerical/technical support staff.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Legal Authorization to Work Requirement:The State of Hawaii requires all persons seeking employment with the government of the State shall be citizens, nationals, or permanent resident aliens of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.Basic Education: A bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.

Specialized Experience: Level II: Six (6) months; Level III: One and one-half (1-1/2) years; Level IV: Two and one-half (2-1/2) years; and/or Level V: Three and one-half (3-1/2) years of work experience in property management; viz., the efficient utilization and maintenance of real property which included such activities as the acquisition or sale of real property, property evaluation, preparation and solicitation of bids, establishment of rental rates, selection of tenants, and the protection and maintenance of property. This work experience in property management must have included experience in business, commercial, or industrial real property management.

Supervisory Aptitude: Applicants must demonstrate possession of Supervisory Aptitude. Supervisory Aptitude is the demonstration of aptitude or potential for the performance of supervisory duties through successful completion of regular or special assignments which involve some supervisory responsibilities or aspects of supervision, e.g., by serving as a group or team leader; or by successful completion of training courses in supervision accompanied by application of supervisory skills in work assignments; or by favorable appraisals by a supervisor indicating the possession of supervisory potential.

Driver's License: Some positions require possession of a valid driver's license at the time of appointment. The immediate vacancies have this requirement.
