An Astoria based General Contracting and Development firm is currently seeking a Property Management Supervisor. We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Property Management Superviso r to oversee the operational, financial, and administrative aspects of our property portfolio. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maximizing property value, ensuring tenant satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills to manage a dynamic portfolio effectively.
The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Oversee day-to-day property operations, including maintenance, repairs, and vendor management
- Ensure all properties are in compliance with safety, health, and building regulations
- Conduct regular property inspections to identify and address issues promptly
- Develop and manage property budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals
- Manage rent collection, lease renewals, and delinquency follow-ups
- Address tenant inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate lease agreements, renewals, and terminations
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations
- Manage insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies
- Handle legal matters such as evictions, lease enforcement, and contract negotiations
Required skills:
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Proficiency with programs from Microsoft office such as but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Must be able to read and interpret contract documents
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Asset Manager, Property Manager, or similar role
- Certification such as Certified Property Manager (CPM), Real Property Administrator (RPA), or equivalent is preferred.
