We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Property Maintenance Inspector to join our team of professionals. This position offers great opportunity for dynamic, motivated self-starters to work on a variety of work assignments. You'll be a member of our highly respected team of professionals with a full complement of resources to support you and exciting projects to keep you challenged.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Perform housing inspections and enforce public health, safety, welfare, property maintenance, and residential codes
  • Read, interpret, and understand building and property maintenance codes
  • Provide advice on property maintenance issues and requirements for residential buildings
  • Enforce codes and ordinances and report violations; maintain files/records
  • Make mathematical computations rapidly and accurately
  • Perform other related duties as required
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:
  • Must apply basic principles and techniques of building inspection
  • Must apply basic principles of structural design and engineering mathematics
  • Must interpret codes in the field and possess the ability to provide code compliant solutions
  • Must possess the ability to positively interact with the other staff members, the general public, contractors, governmental entities, and other clientele
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Good time management, organization, and attention to detail skills
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative and a considerable amount of independent judgment
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Building/construction/maintenance knowledge required
  • ICC Property Maintenance and Housing Inspector Certification preferred
  • Inspector experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record
