We are seeking a motivated and skilled Property Field Inspection Claims Expert to manage accident and weather-related claims for homeowners, commercial properties, and significant losses. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our insureds, guiding them through the claims process while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site inspections and evaluate property damages for residential and commercial claims.
  • Work closely with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to gather information and resolve claims efficiently.
  • Handle emotionally charged situations with professionalism and empathy.
  • Provide outstanding customer service throughout the claims process, addressing questions and concerns promptly.
  • Collect necessary evidence, document findings, and prepare comprehensive reports to support the claims handling process.
  • Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims, with exposures of up to $500,000.
  • Assess coverage and policy terms to ensure claim validity and adherence to local regulations.
  • Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, considering policy provisions, industry standards, and company guidelines.
Your Work Environment:

This position is based in Thornton, CO. Competitive candidates should reside within local service zip codes. It is a Remote-Field role, allowing you to work from home and visit clients as needed. While most work will be done in the field, some tasks may be completed virtually. There may be occasions where you will need to travel outside your usual area to assist with claims in different territories.

Flexibility is key. Hours may vary based on business needs, and candidates should be open to working overtime or irregular hours when required.

Qualifications:
  • Experience as a Property Field Inspection Claims Expert in the insurance sector, particularly in property claims.
  • Strong understanding of property insurance policies, coverage terms, and claim handling practices.
  • Familiar with residential and commercial building construction.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and compliance standards within your service area.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on handling difficult conversations effectively.
  • Proven ability to assess damage, estimate repair costs, and negotiate settlements.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficient in claims management software and related tools.
  • Physical agility required for: lifting, carrying, climbing ladders, navigating roofs of various heights, and accessing tight spaces.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or relevant work experience.
  • Expertise in managing complex or high-value claims.
  • Background in construction.
  • Experience in water mitigation inspections.
  • Familiarity with Xactimate and XactContents software.
Additional Information:
  • Successful candidates will complete all necessary training, licensing exams, and background checks as required by various states.
  • State Farm may require participants to take pre-employment assessments.
