Key Responsibilities: - Conduct on-site inspections and assessments of property damages for residential and commercial claims.
- Collaborate with policyholders, insurance agents, and other parties to efficiently gather information and resolve claims.
- Support policyholders by calmly addressing their concerns and emotions during inspections and claim resolutions.
- Provide exceptional customer service throughout the claims process, responding to inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Gather evidence, document findings, and prepare detailed reports to support effective claims handling.
- Investigate and adjust both personal and commercial property claims with exposures up to $500,000.
- Evaluate coverage and policy terms to assess claim validity and ensure compliance with local regulations.
- Negotiate and settle claims within authorized limits, adhering to policy provisions and company guidelines.
Location: This position primarily involves fieldwork and is based in Meridian/Boise, ID. Competitive candidates should live within a commutable distance to service the area's zip codes.
This is a Remote-Field position where you will work from home, utilizing your mobile office for in-person appointments. While most work will be conducted in the field, occasional virtual work will also be available. You may need to travel outside your assigned area to assist in other territories as needed.
Hours may vary based on business needs, and successful candidates should be open to flexible hours, including overtime where necessary.
Qualifications: - Proven experience as a Property Field Inspection Claim Specialist in the insurance industry, focusing on property claims.
- Strong knowledge of property insurance policies, coverage, and claims handling practices.
- Familiarity with both residential and commercial building construction.
- Knowledge of local regulations and compliance requirements in your territory.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive conversations with a customer-first mindset.
- Proven capability in assessing damages, estimating repair costs, and negotiating settlements.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient in using claims management software and relevant tools.
- Physical agility required for: frequent lifting, carrying and climbing; navigating roofs at various heights; and crawling in tight spaces.
- Completion of Rope and Harness Safety Training may be required.
- A valid driver's license is essential.
Preferred Qualifications: - Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
- Experience handling complex or high-value claims.
- Construction background.
- Water mitigation inspection experience.
- Proficiency with Xactimate and XactContents.
