Job DetailsEssential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements and reporting packages, ensuring all required supporting documentation is included.
- Maintain, review, and analyze general ledger accounts to support financial reporting processes.
- Perform daily bank reconciliations and promptly address reconciling items.
- Monitor deductions related to mortgage, interest, escrow, and real estate tax payments.
- Accurately calculate and post expense accruals.
- Maintain amortization schedules and record accruals.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for assigned properties.
- Calculate annual operating expense and real estate tax reconciliations.
- Process monthly property management fee calculations and post charges to the appropriate properties.
- Ensure tenant charges are billed according to lease agreements.
- Process tenant security deposit refunds as needed.
- Assist the Senior Accountant and Property Manager in preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
- Analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts, investigate discrepancies, and work with property management to make necessary adjustments.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide support for external audits, tax filings, and consultant requests.
- Additional duties may be assigned as necessary to support business needs.

- Effective communication skills for collaboration across various levels of management and teams.
- Excellent verbal, written, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with varying complexities in a fast-paced, client-focused environment.
- Detail-oriented, team player, and committed to professional and ethical standards.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in the real estate industry.
Experience with Yardi Voyager and MRI software is a plus.
Familiarity with common area maintenance (CAM) expense reconciliations is required.
