Summary

The Promotions Manager is responsible for leading and managing all aspects of promotional activities and events at Soboba Casino Resort. This role supports the Director of Marketing in achieving departmental goals by overseeing the planning, coordination, and execution of promotional programs. The Promotions Manager ensures all promotions align with brand standards, enhance guest engagement, and support overall business objectives. This position also provides leadership, training, and development for the Promotions team while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop and implement annual promotional strategies and objectives.
  • Lead the creation, planning, and execution of all casino promotions and special events, ensuring timeliness and alignment with marketing campaigns.
  • Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure smooth execution of all promotional activities.
  • Oversee and manage the Promotions team, including scheduling, training, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
  • Ensure all promotion submissions and notifications to the Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission (STGC) are completed accurately and on time.
  • Ensure that all Submissions & Notifications as well as procedures are reviewed and signed off by management team, Director and / or CMO.
  • Ensure that all revisions are, submitted and tracked.
  • Partner with the Creative and Advertising teams to guide the visual and thematic development of all promotional collateral.
  • Analyze promotional performance reports, proformas, and player data to evaluate effectiveness and drive decision-making.
  • Manage promotional budgets and provide regular reporting to Marketing leadership.
  • Support the development and continuous improvement of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Maintain high visibility and guest interaction during major events, ensuring excellent customer service and guest satisfaction.
  • Assist with tribal and community relations by coordinating special events and maintaining partnerships.
  • Must be physically present to work a regular, reliable, and predictable work schedule in accordance with business demands, and maintain a consistent and regular attendance record.
  • Perform special projects and other responsibilities, tasks, or duties as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Assist in interviewing hiring and training new Team Members.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring and guidance to departmental staff.
  • Monitor and evaluate team performance; provide coaching and corrective action when necessary.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  • Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals.
Education / Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Hospitality, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum three(3) years of experience in marketing, event planning, or promotions in the gaming, hospitality, or entertainment industry required.
  • Minimum two (2) years of supervisory or management experience in a casino or entertainment setting, preferred.
  • Strong understanding of promotional development, customer engagement strategies, and budget management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with marketing software and casino player tracking systems is preferred.
  • Exceptional organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed for event coverage.
  • Must be able to provide evidence of eligibility to work in the United States of America.
Certificates, licenses and registration
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid Soboba Tribal Gaming Commission license.
  • Required to submit to and obtain negative results on all drug and/or alcohol testing.
