ISC's team of Solar Energy Recruiters is partnering with our client that produces anti-reflective products for the solar industry.


Looking for temporary qualified technicians to work in the United States(primarily in California and Arizona) on a seasonal basis to help maintain its robotic coating applicators, train operators in the field how to use them, and to over see the safety and quality control of the coating projects in the field.


Estimated Job Duration: 6 months (May - October 2025)

Location: Southern most part of CA and would travel to project sites



Project Technician Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in solar OR robotic machinery industry preferred
  • Proficiency troubleshooting issues with Electrical and Mechanical devices and running heavy equipment
  • Experience working outside in inclement weather; Must be able to easily lift 50-60 lb
  • Proficiency troubleshooting issues with Electrical and Mechanical devices
  • Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and system troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills; proficient in Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in the US, Clean Background/Drug Screen, and Valid Driver's License with good driving record
  • Comfortable working 5 days a week, 10-hour days, often in inclement weather for a 6-month contract

Project Technician role- our client offers:

  • Compensation range: $33-$37 per hour DOE plus overtime; Potential benefits (medical/dental) to be confirmed upon hire
  • Work hours: Standard schedule: 10-hour days, 5 days a week with overtime per local/state regulations. Work hours adjust seasonally based on solar panel temperature for optimal coating.
  • For Traveling Project Managers: Those working across multiple sites will require travel and remote work. Temporary housing and per diem (TBD per regulations) will be provided as needed.

Project Technician Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues
  • Learn and train others on coating processes and SOPs
  • Oversee coating projects, including solar array cleaning
  • Train on robotic coating applicators
  • Ensure safe and high-quality coating operations
  • Report safety incidents and property damage
  • Collect and report project data daily
  • Track, approve, and report work hours/timecards
  • Assist in maintaining and troubleshooting robotic coating equipment
  • Manage and report inventory

Successful candidates who perform well may be invited back for future seasons based on business expansion
