ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Project Scheduler to join our team in Chantilly, VA . In this role, you will assist in planning, executing, and monitoring IT projects by coordinating resources, managing schedules, and tracking progress to ensure timely delivery. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Complex Projects, IT Solutions, the Program Management Office, and Procurement. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Join a team of project schedulers providing coverage from 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Travel between local buildings is required.
Collaborate with project teams and stakeholders to develop detailed IT project schedules, including task sequencing, durations, dependencies, and key milestones.
Establish and maintain baseline schedules; monitor progress and key performance indicators to ensure alignment with project timelines.
Proactively identify and address scheduling conflicts, resource constraints, and potential risks across multiple IT initiatives.
Assist in the creation of initial project schedules, assess resource availability, and forecast capacity for upcoming IT projects.
Provide schedule impact analyses and recommend corrective actions to maintain alignment with project goals.
May have supervisory responsibility. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 2+ years of experiences, or a combination of education and work experience equivalent to 6+ years.
Ability to create, update, and track project schedules, as well as manage dependencies, milestones, deliverables, and timelines.
Ability to align project schedules with budgets and monitor for discrepancies or delays.
Ability to work well with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth scheduling and project execution.
Understanding of policies, methods, and procedures that includes advanced Planning
and Scheduling techniques. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ServiceNow Project Planning/Scheduling and/or Microsoft Office Project.
Working knowledge of all common Microsoft Office applications, with emphasis on spreadsheet analysis and graphing.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Understanding of software development life cycles, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and IT project-specific timelines. Clearance Requirements: Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph. Physical Requirements: Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 50% of the time. Constantly operate a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers.
