About the role:

Join our dynamic team at the Legal Services Coordination Unit (LSCU) and play a pivotal role in coordinating government responses to critical recommendations from coronial inquests and the Domestic and Family Violence Death Review and Advisory Board (DFV Board). This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of best practice legal services policy across the Queensland Government.

Key responsibilities:
  • Coordinate whole-of-government reporting for coronial inquests and DFV Board recommendations.
  • Draft and prepare high-quality government responses, cabinet submissions, and briefing notes.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with departmental officers and central agency policy officers.
  • Identify and implement initiatives to enhance the quality and reduce response times for recommendations.
  • Support the Director, LSCU, in managing the Whole of Government Legal Services Panel and Barristers List.
  • Assist the Office of General Counsel with project initiatives and external legal advice requests.
