Project Manager with Security Clearance

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Project Manager in Oak Ridge, TN. Secret Clearance or Top-Secret Clearance is required for this role Relocation assistance is available for this position This position is located on site in Oak Ridge, TN. As a Project Manager you will lead and coordinate cross-functional teams in the planning, execution, and delivery of projects within scope, budget, and schedule. The ideal candidate will bring strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills to manage project lifecycles, mitigate risks, and ensure stakeholder alignment. This role requires a results-driven professional with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously, enforce project governance, and ensure high standards of quality and performance are consistently met. Key Responsibilities and Areas of Expertise

• Managing project deliverables across all phases of our roadmap to a Laser Enrichment Facility
• Developing a work breakdown structure (WBS) for building a greenfield Laser Enrichment Facility

• Managing Task Orders for the DOE LEU acquisition program, and providing progressing updates to the DOE
• Effective communication and cross-functional interaction with stakeholders, both internally and externally, to manage costs, objectives, and schedule
• Fiscal responsibility of project resources Skills & experience:

• Master or PhD degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in technical fields such as mechanical engineering, physics, laser physics, optics, photonics, electrical engineering or equivalent field.

• Demonstrated understanding of Program Management principles and experience in the management of cross-functional programs coordinating the research, development, and engineering of complex projects

• Budget management for >$10M/year programs

• Needs to work within project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, Cerberus, IRR, PGP, Resource Management (Spotfire, PL sheets, LTFP)

• Excellent leadership, organization & communications skills

• Effective executive and customer communication presence

• Must have a Secret or Top-Secret clearance is required. Desirable

• A background in high-power Lasers, infrared Optics, Optomechanical design, Plasma physics, Nuclear physics/engineering is highly desirable

• Knowledge of advanced gas laser applications in industrial, medical, or research fields.

• Experience in thermal management and mechanical integration for laser systems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical reporting and collaboration.
