POSITION SUMMARY Using independent judgment and minimal supervision, the Scrum Master is responsible for supporting one of Lighthouse's Agile teams in delivering ongoing and incremental value in our products. The Scrum Master will, in conjunction with their team's Product Owner, guide the team to remain focused on delivering prioritized work aligned to organizational goals and objectives. In addition, this role will help teams adopt the processes, procedures, culture, and behavior needed for successful Agile delivery, partnering with their Product Owner to foster a team culture of transparency, inspection, and adaption. This position is also responsible for effectively coaching team members where low-level coaching is required.
This position supports the hybrid work schedule. The Project Manager - Scrum Master would be required to work in the office (Southern New Hampshire) in person
at least two days a month.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES - Actively coaches and educates on Agile methodologies and practices to build high performing agile development teams.
- Ensures team actions are aligned with the product team goals/vision.
- Demonstrates servant leadership, facilitating scrum process and ceremonies.
- Leverages strong problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills to coach and mentor team members across various roles within a Scrum team.
- Helps to identify trade-offs between short- and long-term benefits to drive shared vision between the team.
- Acts as a shield from external distractions protecting the team from interference and removing obstacles so that the team can deliver the sprint goal.
- Effectively communicates with all team members, ensuring information is shared clearly, promptly, and unambiguously.
- Promotes transparency within the team and across the organization, building trust between the team and stakeholders.
- Fosters an open, professional collaborative team environment facilitating healthy team dynamics.
- Fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement, helping the team regularly inspect, adapt, and enhance their practices.

EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE - Bachelor's degree required and Agile Scrum Certification.
- 4+ years of relevant work experience with Agile and Scrum.
- Experience using Jira and Confluence for work breakdown, tracking, reporting and documentation. White Board products (Miro, Jira).
- Significant experience acting as a servant leader in a fast-moving banking/ financial industry environment.
- Deep knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt their experience to new and evolving environments.
- Knowledgeable about various Agile methodologies and experienced in coaching teams.
