Project Manager / Scrum Master Job Description
Role Summary
The Project Manager or Scrum Master is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within set deadlines and budgets. They ensure cross-functional teams work efficiently, adhering to Agile or traditional project management methodologies, and achieve the project's objectives. Area will be Digital, Data and Cloud
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning and Management
- Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Monitor and adjust project plans to address risks and issues.
Team Coordination and Leadership - Facilitate effective collaboration among cross-functional team members.
- Act as a servant leader to empower and unblock the team.
- Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Stakeholder Communication - Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
- Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
- Manage stakeholder expectations and foster positive relationships.
Scrum Master Specific Responsibilities (if applicable) - Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
- Shield the team from external distractions and remove impediments to progress.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting - Track project performance using appropriate tools and metrics.
- Generate reports to provide insights into progress, risks, and team productivity.
- Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk and Issue Management - Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively.
- Escalate critical issues to stakeholders with actionable solutions.
Qualifications
- Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
Skills
- Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
- Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies.
