Project Manager / Scrum Master Job Description

Role Summary

The Project Manager or Scrum Master is responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects within set deadlines and budgets. They ensure cross-functional teams work efficiently, adhering to Agile or traditional project management methodologies, and achieve the project's objectives. Area will be Digital, Data and Cloud

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management
  • Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and adjust project plans to address risks and issues.
  • Team Coordination and Leadership
    • Facilitate effective collaboration among cross-functional team members.
    • Act as a servant leader to empower and unblock the team.
    • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Stakeholder Communication
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders.
    • Provide regular updates on project progress, risks, and dependencies.
    • Manage stakeholder expectations and foster positive relationships.
  • Scrum Master Specific Responsibilities (if applicable)
    • Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives).
    • Ensure the team adheres to Agile principles and practices.
    • Shield the team from external distractions and remove impediments to progress.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting
    • Track project performance using appropriate tools and metrics.
    • Generate reports to provide insights into progress, risks, and team productivity.
    • Ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Risk and Issue Management
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks proactively.
    • Escalate critical issues to stakeholders with actionable solutions.
    Qualifications
    • Project Management certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications such as CSM, PSM).
    • Proven experience as a Project Manager or Scrum Master in an Agile environment.
    • Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project).
    Skills
    • Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Analytical mindset with problem-solving capabilities.
    • Expertise in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, or Waterfall methodologies.
    PMP required
