Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This project management position will support the System Test Technical Team (TT) on a restricted effort in Rancho Bernardo or Palmdale, CA, with some travel between those sites as required. Teleworking is not available as an option. The overall responsibilities include executable tasks that will enable the TT leadership to achieve operational excellence. Primary duties will include facilitating cross-Operating Unit integration, managing the operational aspects of ongoing projects, and serving as liaison between IPT managers, Control Account Managers (CAMs), employees, and other program Functions. Regular responsibilities may include the following: Data aggregation and reporting on actuals charging metrics and financials from Cobra data to support staffing resource planning
Support of Change Request and Risk Management processes and collection of impacts
Updates and improvements to team SharePoint site and knowledge base resources
Submission and tracking of TT Program Access Requests (PARs)
Maintaining organization charts
Support of Staff meetings including meeting facilitation, chart compilation, and action item tracking
Scheduling and promoting engagement activities including lunch and learns, team recognition, business area highlights, and composition of periodic highlights for newsletters
Support of new business proposal writing and team organization
Assisting CAMs with monthly EV data collection and review, variance reporting, and completion of programmatic rhythm tasking such as preparation for internal and external PMR meetings and program health reporting
Assessment of project issues and development of resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Development of mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Conduct business travel up to 10% of the time from assigned work location to Rancho Bernardo or Palmdale, CA. Must be highly detail-oriented, organized, proactive, and a skilled communicator. This role may be filled at an Project Management or Principal Project Management level based on the qualifications below. Basic Qualifications for Project Management: Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; or 0 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution with Master's degree
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
Current, active DoD Top Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation / adjudication and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs Basic Qualifications for Principal Project Management: Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution; or 3 years of experience in Project Management, Program Integration/Execution with Master's degree
Experience with Microsoft Office Products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Project)
Current, active DoD Top Secret clearance within 4 years of last investigation / adjudication and the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs Preferred Qualifications: Current Special Program Access

Supplier management experience
Risk/issue/opportunities (RIO / TRIO) experience
Experience in SCIF/SAPF environments
Control Account Manager (CAM) experience/certification

Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
Proposal writing experience
Experience and ability to autonomously assess complex problems and decompose them into a plan of action while coordinating across a large, diverse team of program, business, and technical SMEs.
Aerospace and/or Defense Industry Experience Salary Range: $73,900.00 - $110,900.00Salary Range 2: $91,200.00 - $136,800.00 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
