Role Overview: As a Construction Project Manager, OSP you will be responsible for overseeing the execution of large-scale fiber optic installation projects in diverse and challenging environments. Your expertise in construction management, coupled with an in-depth understanding of fiber optic infrastructure, will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead and coordinate a multi-disciplinary team, working closely with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure seamless project delivery. Key Responsibilities: Project Leadership & Execution: Oversee the planning, design, and execution of fiber optic outside plant construction projects, ensuring all deliverables meet the clients specifications, timelines, and budget constraints. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring clear and consistent communication across all project phases. Budget & Resource Management: Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively. Ensure cost control, risk management, and timely procurement of materials and equipment. Manage requested quotes to our vendor and supplier partners. Generate formal Scope of Work documentation, Bill of Materials, Labor Rates and Estimates. Attend on-site/virtual pre-bid meetings to gather requirements for effective and timely bidding. Ability to travel to customer premise locations and attend site surveys. Team Coordination: Lead, mentor, and coordinate cross-functional teams, ensuring proper training, safety standards, and best practices are followed on-site. Site Management & Quality Control: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the construction site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and project specifications. Monitor projects to meet/exceed company specifications to Construction Policy, FCC Technical Standards, NEC, OSHA, State, County and/or City, and all other applicable agencies. Problem Solving & Risk Mitigation: Identify potential project risks and work proactively to mitigate delays and budget overruns. Handle unexpected challenges with a solution-oriented approach. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation daily, including status reports, change orders, and as-built records. Provide regular updates to senior leadership and clients on project progress. Innovation & Process Improvement: Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging emerging technologies and construction methodologies to enhance project efficiency and outcomes. Key Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in outside plant construction management, with a focus on fiber optic installation, infrastructure, and related telecommunications projects. Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of fiber optic network design and construction processes, including splicing, trenching, aerial and underground installations, and associated equipment. Knowledge of Underground Fiber routing and buried environments, utility construction. Experience managing ROW and ROE requirements. Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and manage project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment. Project Management Expertise: Hands-on experience managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, scheduling, and vendor management. Technical Proficiency: Solid knowledge of construction standards, safety protocols, and fiber optic technology. Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent preferred. Fiber optic-specific certifications (e.g., FOA, BICSI) are highly desirable. Education: Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Telecommunications, a related field or equivalent industry experience. Key Requirements: Superb customer service, communication and self-management skills. Ability to adapt to dynamic work schedules and flexible shifts. Must have a valid drivers license without any restrictions and a satisfactory driving record. Must be able to lift 50lbs or more. Must be willing to Travel to clients locations for the assigned geographic region they will be assigned to Must be 18 years of age or older, a US citizen and be able to show proof of citizenship.
