Our client is a national, vertically integrated builder/developer of multifamily projects. Their typical project ranges from $100M to $200M. They have a strong presence here in the Mid-Atlantic with projects in DC, MD, & VA. They have a large-scale project coming up in the Charlottesville area and are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team.
Description
The Project Manager - Multifamily - National Builder/Developer will be responsible for:
- Oversee and manage the entire project lifecycle, from pre-construction to final delivery. Coordinate with internal and external teams (designers, contractors, vendors, consultants) to ensure seamless project execution.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked and controlled. Review and approve project estimates, change orders, and purchase orders.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time and within the allocated budget. Monitor progress and identify any potential delays or issues.
- Manage relationships with contractors, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure that all work is performed in compliance with contracts, regulations, and project specifications.
- Ensure that the quality of work meets or exceeds established standards. Inspect ongoing work and resolve any issues related to construction quality.
- Ensure that all construction activities are in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Oversee safety practices and ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and external clients. Provide regular updates on project status, including progress, risks, issues, and achievements.
- Address and resolve issues as they arise, including construction delays, cost overruns, design changes, and unforeseen challenges.
- Lead, motivate, and mentor project teams, ensuring efficient collaboration and adherence to project goals. Foster a positive work environment and encourage professional growth within the team.
Profile
The Project Manager - Multifamily - National Builder/Developer will have:
- At least 5 years of project management experience, with a focus on ground-up construction of multifamily housing.
- Demonstrated success in managing large-scale multifamily projects (150+ units).
- Capable of leading and mentoring team members while effectively coordinating with senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
