Project Manager Leadwho:
The Lead Project Manager is a senior member of the PMO team, responsible for guiding the execution of the organization's most critical projects while also serving as a mentor, quality assurance lead, and process improvement champion. The Lead PM works closely with the PMO Director to support portfolio operations, advance maturity in project execution, and ensure consistency across all project delivery. This position will provide the lead role over the corporate construction portfolio (new build and tenant improvements) for the organization.
Essential Functions:
• Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of corporate projects in accordance with Agile methodologies
• Be a mentor to a cohort of Project Managers on best practices and methodology use.
• Serve as portfolio coordinator and partner with the PMO Director on strategic planning.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technology, data management, business analysts, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment with objectives and timelines.
• Support governance processes, portfolio reporting, and executive status updates.
• Manage the execution of highly complex or sensitive initiatives, including construction, digital transformation, or regulatory mandates.
• Facilitate standardization and continuous improvement in tools, templates, and training.
• Serve as one of the PMO's escalation point for project risks, changes, and stakeholder concerns.
• Ensure adherence to the organization's hybrid PMI/Agile methodology.
Other Responsibilities: • Sets standards and mentors others in conducting Agile ceremonies and backlog practices.
• Serves as a subject matter expert in project methodology and lifecycle execution.
• Oversees the use of Azure DevOps across the PMO for WBS and governance tracking.
• Audits and supports the development of high-quality project and risk plans portfolio wide.
• Facilitates decomposition of EPICs at the portfolio level and guides teams in iteration planning.
• Leads organization-wide facilitation efforts to align technical and operational strategies into deliverable outcomes.
You'll be successful with the following qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required, Master's preferred, in Business Administration, Project Management, Technology, or related field.
• PMP certification required; Agile certification strongly preferred.
• Minimum 6-8 years of project and portfolio management experience.
• Prior experience mentoring or leading project teams required.
• Expertise in change management, project analytics, and stakeholder engagement.
