Job Summary

The Project Manager oversees departmental and jobsite operations to ensure professional installation and the achievement of estimated gross profits. This role involves auditing all project documents prior to commencement, ensuring all pertinent information is included, and effectively communicating the scope of work to relevant personnel. The Project Manager may also perform project tasks as necessary.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage materials, labor, budgets, and schedules to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality expectations.
  • Review project documents, confirm labor hours, and ensure timely procurement and delivery of equipment and materials.
  • Accurately document, approve, and process invoices for all change orders to maintain project transparency and profitability.
  • Act as the primary liaison for General Contractors, customers, sales teams, and management, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain a comprehensive project schedule and prepare monthly manpower forecasts to ensure efficient resource allocation and productivity.
  • Train, mentor, and guide team members to improve resource efficiency, meet budget goals, and enhance professional skills.
  • Foster strong partnerships with managers, field staff, and stakeholders to streamline workflows and resolve challenges proactively.
  • Regularly review and refine policies and procedures to ensure alignment with industry standards, safety codes, and company goals.
  • Monitor billings, cash flow, and profit margins, implementing cost-control measures to maximize profitability.
  • Assist in recruitment efforts, contribute to sales support, and participate in special projects to drive organizational growth and success.
  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
Experience/Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Five plus years of related supervisory experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong written communication skills to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Effective oral communication skills to present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and the application of fractions, ratios, and percentages.
  • Competence in using inventory software, scheduling software, internet software, spreadsheet software (Excel), and word processing software.
  • Competent understanding of mechanical systems and ability to identify problems and propose cost-effective solutions.
  • A valid state driver's license or the ability to obtain one by the start of employment.
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
  • Work is performed mostly in an outdoor setting with some tasks in an office environment.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, type, and operate office technology such as computers, printers, copy machines, and calculators.
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, feel or operate objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Frequently required to walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and smell.
  • Occasionally required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Normally works in outside weather conditions, near moving mechanical parts, and in high, precarious places.
  • Exposure to wet and humid conditions, airborne particles, and confined spaces.
