We're seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to oversee ground-up and renovation projects in the Hartford area. This role includes full project lifecycle ownership-from preconstruction through closeout-with a focus on quality, safety, and profitability.

Their portfolio spans office, retail, education, healthcare, and light industrial sectors. The firm is team-oriented, well-capitalized, and highly active in the Hartford market.


Description


  • Lead and manage all phases of commercial construction projects (typically $5M-$30M+)

  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, and consultants to ensure timely design decisions

  • Oversee budgets, schedules, change orders, and subcontractor performance

  • Conduct regular site visits and lead progress meetings with clients and field teams

  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, safety standards, and local codes

  • Mentor junior staff and collaborate closely with Superintendents and Estimators


Profile

You're a proactive and organized project leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You have strong financial acumen, build strong client relationships, and consistently deliver successful outcomes on complex commercial builds.


  • 5+ years of project management experience in commercial construction

  • Proven ability to run ground-up and interior renovation projects independently

  • Strong understanding of local permitting, zoning, and building codes

  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam)

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and contract administration skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
