Project Manager/Estimator

We are working with an expanding principal contractor based in Crawley, they are looking for a Project manager/estimator. You are too primarily to administrate pre-construction professional services contracts and to also assist within their estimating team, to create estimates for a range of hot and cold rolled steel projects varying in value from £50k up to a £5m.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise with prospective clients to determine their pre-construction professional service requirements
- Create estimates for pre-construction services for example soil, as built and topographical surveys, architectural & planning services, civil, drainage & structural engineering and building control
- Work with our network of consultants to provide up to date pricing
- Manage all live professional service contracts
- Diary management booking consultants to attend for site surveys
- Attending site to meeting consultants conducting their surveys
- Follow up on results & reports
- Communicate all results to clients
- Manage the payment plans for the agreed contract for deposit and completion payments
- Manage the payment of consultants on completion of their services
- Estimate steel frame building projects including groundwork & construction, using online software and Excel
Key skills:
- IT proficient, particular with the Microsoft package
- Experience of an online project management system
- Excellent communication skills within the office team and with clients
- Attention to detail
- Team player but also happy to work by themselves
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Driving licence essential
