The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing engineering projects from initial scope to completion. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. This position reports to the General Manager and requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate and lead project teams and contractors. The ideal candidate will have experience in both new construction and renovation projects, including indoor and outdoor spaces. This position is temporary, with an estimated duration of 6-12 months, depending on business needs. Position Responsibilities Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects managing multiple projects at various stages simultaneously. Interact with contractors and negotiate the best terms for hotel contracts. Perform quality control tasks on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance while reporting on project status. Review engineering tasks, communicate necessary corrective actions to key stakeholders and advise best path forward. Identify and allocate resources, equipment, and technical expertise needed for all projects. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, practices, policies, performance standards, and specifications. Prepare and submit reports in a timely manner. Complete additional tasks and assignments as needed. Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) installations. Proven experience in new construction and renovation projects, including both indoor and outdoor spaces. Minimum of 4 years of senior-level experience in project engineering/project management. Demonstrated competence in project management. Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. Effective budgeting and performance management skills. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams and contractors effectively. Experience managing large CAPEX projects is considered an asset. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office and related communication tools. Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills. Time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects. Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and overnight shifts as required.
