This job posting is for the Project Manager - AI & Tech Innovation role within PHC's Business Project Management Office (note: this is NOT an IT PM role). The office supports large, multi-departmental, strategically significant projects connected to Piedmont's Plan on a Page, covering growth, talent, stewardship and operational effectiveness. The projects often originate from and impact system office operations and are implemented across the system's hospital locations. Some travel is required depending on project requirements. The role will report to the Director of Technology Innovation & AI and focus on a dedicated portfolio of strategic AI and innovation projects. Despite its AI and technology focus, this role does not require IT expertise as that proficiency will be provided through existing IT PM resources. Rather, the successful candidate will demonstrate high familiarity with health system administration and operations and be comfortable working on complex projects involving operational and business back-office stakeholders. Adaptability and flexibility in the application of the project management approach are paramount while still proactively driving the business forward to meet project goals and objectives. JOB PURPOSE: Plans, monitors and directs multidisciplinary strategically important projects across Piedmont Healthcare (PHC). Projects are completed with freedom and initiative, and with accountability to achieve corporate targets. Provides high quality project management and analysis for an array of clinical and operational issues. Partners with key organizational and operational leaders to identify and achieve priorities, goals and objectives for each initiative. Oversees plan development, industry research, expert interviews, benchmarking, operational feasibility analysis, financial proforma development, written and oral presentation development and implementation assistance. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Provides consultative, technical and decision-making support to executive management regarding financial and/or operational improvements and system growth initiatives. 2. Oversees projects and work plans and other essential functions to complete key projects and achieve key operational metrics for the health system. 3. Provides project management, on-going support, follow-up analysis and implementation support for corporate projects with widely varying scope. 4. Presents and communicates in a professional and effective manner. 5. Leverages complex decision support systems such as productivity systems, financial, clinical and/or market databases other internal comparative databases to assist executive management in establishing annual operational targets, monitoring on-going operational and financial performance and evaluating opportunities for improvement or investment. MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a closely related field is required. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Five (5) years of progressively responsible and relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree OR three (3) years of progressively responsible and relevant experience required with a Master's degree. ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: Previous experience leading a cross functional, enterprise-wide complex project in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred. Exceptional organization skills required. Superior written and verbal communication skills including the ability to present ideas in a clear and compelling manner.
