Duties And Responsibilities
The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities of a project(s) to ensure that goals or objectives of the project are safely accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters and to ensure the customer(s) receive a quality product or service which meets or exceeds all of their requirements.
Functions
• Work closely with the Commercial Department on the review of ITTs and Bid submission to promote innovative solutions to technically complex issues, ensuring scope of work, technical competencies and equipment required are correctly defined. Must have a detailed knowledge of work scopes, terms and conditions and pricing.
• Support Sales/Business Development on the delivery of technical solutions, through regular contact with clients and attendance to routine meetings, delivery of presentations and engagement on technical solutions.
• Assist customers to develop technical solutions using innovative concepts and ideas to resolve their challenges and meet their required specifications.
• Set up and manage new projects, defining project budgets and resource requirement, with overall responsibility for safe and successful execution of the project.
• Participate or directly engage in forecasting of project revenue and cost.
• Take a lead role in driving the continuous improvement of quality and safety.
• Maintain resource plans for onshore and offshore resources to suit project activity.
• Day to day management of assigned project(s) and project team(s), including the planning of project operations and the supervision of operational personnel on site including the review of procedures, staffing requirements and allocation of available resources to various phases of the project to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
• Daily liaison on projects and systems to identify any issues and ensure project is running as planned.
• Finding solutions, where required, to prevent or mitigate downtime and/or project delays that impact the client business or profitability of the project.
• Review and approve quality plans and technical procedures. If required, assist in the creation of procedures for subsea projects.
• Establish work execution plan and staffing requirements for each phase of project.
• Direct and coordinate activities of projects to ensure progression is on schedule and within prescribed budget.
• Review status reports and adjust schedules or plans as required.
• Review and approve documents related to the project requirements.
• Prepare project reports, forecast, variance explanations and other technical and financial reports for management, client, or others.
• Confer with project personnel to provide technical advice and to resolve problems, identify improvements and preventative measures
• Review and approve project invoices and assist in accounts receivable and cash collection from clients.
• Travel domestically and overseas as needed.
• Maintain training requirements as directed by management.
• Ensure compliance with HSE Management Systems and adherence with local regulations and requirements.
• Verify compliance with all Technical, Operational, and HSE Bulletins.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
• Strong technical background, with extensive working experience on ROV tooling or systems, ROV intervention and/or subsea hardware.
• Experience in a client facing role, ideally providing technical solutions or products within a similar industry sector.
• Ability to manage and execute projects of various sizes and complexity.
• Ability to learn and navigate in PeopleSoft or similar enterprise management software, AutoCAD , SolidWorks, Teams and Sharepoint sites.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
• Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel where required.
DESIRED
• Minimum five (5) years Project Management experience in a relevant discipline
• Offshore / oilfield operational experience, ideally vessel-based
• Familiar with remotely operated systems and other services offered by Oceaneering.
• Recognised qualification in Engineering / Business Management or equivalent.
