Job Title: Project Manager II - SAP MDG
Location: Waukegan, IL (5 days Onsite)
Duration: 05/05/2025 to 05/05/2026 with potential for extension
Hours/Week: 40 hours per week (non-exempt)
Rate: $90 - $100/hour
Contract Type: W-2 only, no visa sponsorships or subcontracting
Scope of Services: We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager II - SAP MDG to oversee the daily operations and performance of the SAP Master Data Governance (MDG) platform, specifically focused on Material Master data. This position plays a critical role in ensuring data integrity, system stability, and operational compliance across enterprise-wide MDG processes. The role is full-time and onsite at our Waukegan, IL location.
Key Responsibilities: - Manage day-to-day operations of the SAP MDG system, ensuring a stable, reliable, and compliant environment.
- Oversee incident management and ensure Service Level Agreement (SLA) compliance.
- Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for MDG Material Master and support process owners in related areas.
- Partner with the Data Governance team to maintain high data quality and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including ERP CoE, supply chain, shared services, and business units, to align and integrate MDG processes.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to optimize MDG performance.
- Generate and analyze performance reports, identifying system trends and improvement opportunities.
- Support major SAP-related projects and enhancements involving MDG.
- Maintain system documentation, contribute to audits, and ensure process compliance.
Qualifications & Experience: Required: - Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field
- 8-10 years of experience in SAP or Master Data roles
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience in SAP MDG, with a strong focus on Material Master
- Proficiency in SAP MDG, SAP ECC, and SAP S/4HANA
- Strong understanding of data governance principles and operational best practices
- Demonstrated ability to lead or coordinate across cross-functional and technical teams
Preferred: - Master's degree in a relevant field
- Prior managerial experience or project team leadership
- Experience working in highly regulated or enterprise environments (e.g., pharma, med device, manufacturing)
