Project Manager / Estimator - Commericial Drywall
Summary: We're hiring a skilled Project Manager/Estimator to lead commercial drywall projects from estimation through completion. This role requires technical know-how, strong organization, and leadership to manage multiple projects efficiently and deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Manage full project lifecycle including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Coordinate teams, subcontractors, and vendors to meet timelines and project goals.
- Communicate with clients, architects, and engineers to ensure specifications are met.
- Monitor progress, adjust resources, and resolve issues as needed.
- Enforce safety protocols and quality standards.
- Lead daily operations and support project teams.
Estimating:
- Review drawings and specs to prepare accurate cost estimates.
- Conduct material take-offs and assess labor/equipment costs.
- Collaborate with vendors and subcontractors for competitive pricing.
- Prepare cost breakdowns and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Manage change orders and scope adjustments.
Client & Communication:
- Serve as the main client contact throughout the project.
- Provide progress updates and resolve client concerns.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records including contracts, reports, and financials.
- Complete post-project reviews and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 3-5 years in project management or estimating (drywall/construction preferred).
- Proficient in estimating tools (Procore, Bluebeam, OST) and Microsoft Office.
- Strong knowledge of drywall systems, codes, and safety standards.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- PMP or LEED certification a plus.
