Job Details

We are currently seeking a Commercial Project Manager to lead the full lifecycle of commercial construction projects for our company's developments. From pre-construction phases through to final handover, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in commercial construction who can oversee multiple active and upcoming projects. You will collaborate with well-known commercial brands, managing both the execution and strategic oversight of construction efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and supervise all stages of construction from design development through final completion.
  • Directly manage labor-related aspects, including contractor agreements, site supervision, and performance monitoring.
  • Coordinate and facilitate construction activities, ensuring alignment with plans and timelines.
  • Evaluate and interpret construction drawings across architectural, structural, and design disciplines.
  • Review subcontractor proposals, negotiate terms, and finalize agreements.
  • Organize and synchronize subcontractor efforts and ensure high standards of craftsmanship.
  • Work closely with internal leadership and external consultants including architects, engineers, and designers.
  • Maintain active communication with clients, trades, and stakeholders to ensure transparency and progress alignment.
  • Conduct regular job site visits to track progress, quality of work, and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with interior designers and procurement teams to review shop drawings and provide accurate on-site data and dimensions.
  • Supervise and assess contractor performance during on-site installations and construction activities.
  • Provide timely and detailed updates to leadership regarding construction milestones, risks, and developments.
  • Lead quality assurance efforts and sign off on project completions.
  • Manage project budgets, monitor costs, and ensure work adheres to contract specifications.
  • Travel to job sites as needed to provide in-person oversight.

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years minimum experience in construction project management.
  • Proven background managing commercial new builds from the ground up.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 and other project management software tools.
  • Strong organizational abilities and contract negotiation experience.
  • Experience managing multiple job sites and project teams simultaneously.
  • Deep understanding of construction codes, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Able to interpret and apply construction documentation accurately.
  • CA General Contractor's License and cabinetry expertise are advantageous.
