Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Project Manager to join the Agreement Data Quality (ADQ) team. This team is responsible for data remediation, data integrity and process improvement surrounding all agreement data. This data is derived from trading agreements such as derivative contracts, ISDAs and SMC Agreements. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing strategic data initiatives, ensuring timely project updates, maintaining project trackers, and assisting with various data quality and reporting tasks. This team is embedded in a an operations team within global markets that does not operation in either an agile or waterfall environment. This role requires strong communication skills, proficiency in data analysis tools, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to meet multiple reporting deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Updates and Reporting:
  • Provide timely project updates on strategic data initiatives to senior management.
  • Create weekly burn rate charts and communicate project status, including any delays (e.g., NAV Trigger Cleanups, Corporate Bond Concentration Limits, SMCs).
Project Tracking and Support:
  • Maintain project trackers among various team members.
  • Assist Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) as needed to ensure project milestones are met.
Data Quality Dashboards:
  • Update TMA contract data quality dashboards in Excel.
  • Collaborate with the business intelligence team to develop a data quality dashboard in Tableau, including logic development to examine interdependencies between data elements.
Stakeholder Liaison:
  • Proactively liaise with contract SMEs to understand downstream data risks by contract type.
Model Accuracy Reporting:
  • Report on the accuracy of Natural Language Processing (NLP) models in interpreting legal trading contract language to senior leadership.
Data Cleanup and Quality Assurance:
  • Assist with data cleanup for the Corporate Bond Concentration Limit Project.
  • Ensure timely delivery of monthly Post Process Quality Assurances (PPQA) tests.
Provide timely quarterly reports on monthly Swap Dealer Downgrade Risk Exposure.

Ad Hoc Data Requests:

-Handle ad hoc data requests from senior management by querying various systems and transforming data into actionable insights.

Risk and Efficiency Management:
  • Identify control gaps and system limitations, discuss them with the team, and escalate to management with recommendations for risk mitigation and efficiency improvements.
  • Track all project based work in JIRA and move the ADQ team toward ADQ JIRA/Agile adoption

Skills and Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience within Banking
  • 2+ years of Project Management experience
  • Experiene working data lineage, data quality, or metadata
  • Proficient in using, summarizing and explaining large data sets.
  • Strong risk mindset
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Products including: PowerPoint, Visio, Word, Excel including pivot tables
  • Knowledge of Derivatives
  • Knowledge of Global Banking and Markets null
