We are looking for a Fixed Assets lead within the Global Operations Supply Chain Finance functional group. This role's primary objective will be to coordinate with Supply Chain, Finance, and the Controller's office on the Global OPS Construction In Progress (CIP) burndown initiative. The Fixed Assets lead will monitor and report on CIP burndown progress and coordinate all functions/parties to complete capital projects and place assets in service. Additionally, this role will coordinate with Supply Chain and Finance to develop and document processes around capital procurement, project execution and close-out.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Lead the Global Ops CIP burndown initiative
Report and status tracking with buyers
Serve as point of contact for Controller's Office/Central Ops Finance for CIP status
Engage with and monitor responses from suppliers on status of projects/tooling
Manage standard work for processing Assets Placed In Service (APIS) forms and assist buyers with APIS form submissions
Follow up with RTX Fixed Assets to ensure APIS forms are processed timely, and assets are being removed from the CIP reports
Coordinate with Supply Chain to develop processes for capital procurement, project execution and close-out utilizing CORE framework and tools
Provide reports to Supply Chain and Global Ops Finance leadership regarding current capital projects, new capital projects to be submitted, capex actuals vs budget, and CIP balance
Ensure appropriate accounting treatment consistent with GAAP and corporate policy for all fixed assets placed in service or dispositioned
Support the fixed asset reporting requirement
Support stakeholder internal control inquiries, provide guidance, education, and training, as necessary
Escalate any issues and internal control deficiencies and/or delays, ensure stakeholders understand requirements, expectations, best practices available
Establish and maintain strong customer, user/stakeholder and partner relationships.
Basic Qualifications:
Self-starter with strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently, prioritize among multiple competing projects and initiatives to execute workload with attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
Strong interpersonal skills with ability to work across multidisciplinary teams at all levels cultivating strong relationships with business partners to develop actionable recommendations, present insights, and influence change.
Ability to understand business processes and analyze managements' methods for identifying and mitigating risks with attention to detail and data analysis, focusing on quality control and problem solving.
Advanced written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner across all levels of the organization including remote Collins Aerospace partners.
Inquisitive mindset focusing on identifying risks and inefficiencies to drive process improvements.
Strong understanding of general business operations, including accounting, fixed assets, compliance, internal controls, financial analysis, policies and procedures, and technology.
Effective written and verbal communication, proven teamwork and cross-functional collaboration skills. Required education, experience:
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience Desired Experience and Education:
Experience in Finance, Accounting, or Project Management
SAP experience
Fixed Assets experience
Experience with SAP, PowerPoint, Excel, Archer (eSOX), Agile Point (Capex approvals) Location:
