Who We Are
Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is inviting applications for the position of Project Management Analyst 2 to join our Integrated Product Support (IPS) team in Newport News, VA. This is an exciting opportunity to become a part of a dynamic team of Engineers, Designers, Planners, and PMA's who provide support to Facility Operations at Newport News Shipbuilding. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual who can work collaboratively in a team environment to meet the needs of Facilities Engineering operations supporting the Plant Utilities team.
What You Will Do
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management
- Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports
- Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives
- Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients
- Manage Outline Agreements, Purchase Orders, Invoicing, Utility Billing, and associated tasks
- Coordinate set up of new utility service accounts and associated vendor creations
- Serve as department Computer Coordinator, Security Representative, Clearance Representative, and Records Retention Coordinator
- Manage Visitor Management System (VMS) to include visitor badge requests, background checks, etc.
- Liaison for DOT drug tests, Distribution A submissions, NN50 processing, and Storm Preparations
- Maintain and ensure department procedure list is up to date
What You Must Have
- 3 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 1 year relevant experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 7 years relevant experience.
- Candidate must have strong computer skills - Windows, MS Office Suite, and Acrobat Pro
- Candidate must have strong project management, scheduling, and organizational skills
- Candidate must have strong leadership and communication skills
- Candidate must have the ability to work independently and be a part of cross-functional teams
- Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen
- Candidate must be able to obtain a security clearance
Bonus Points For Having.
- Experience within NNS shipyard or heavy industrial environment
- Experience utilizing SAP, VMS, SMAX, and CUAS systems
