Job Summary: Under the direct supervision of the Regional HSE Manager, the Project HSE Lead is responsible for facilitating all aspects of safety and health on a specific project. This position will work closely with the Area HSE Lead, project management, and jobsite personnel. Education: OSHA 30hr-Construction required. Competent Person certifications strongly preferred (construction-related). Experience: Understands project work plans, drawings and technical plans and applying them to daily hazard analysis and inspection tasks. Familiar with state and federal standards and able to reference, interpret and implement applicable standards. Skills: Conducts safety meetings and speaks publicly to project and client personnel. Conducts investigations, root cause analysis, identify and implement corrective actions, and produce appropriate reporting and documentation. Responsibilities: Works full time on an assigned project site. Develops and maintains project-specific HASP, AHA, EMP and monitors adherence/efficacy of plans. Performs daily hazard hunts and addresses employee observations. Maintains project safety information, documents, and metrics. Provides and assures appropriate inspection and maintenance of safety supplies and equipment on project. Conducts incident/injury intervention, escorting injured workers to medical care as required. Conducts incident investigations and reporting, implements corrective actions to address investigation findings. Communicates with Area HSE Lead and Regional HSE Manager to provide updates and seek support where needed. Tracks, trends, and documents project safety performance metrics. Is expected and has the authority to stop unsafe actions and behaviors on the project site. Physical Demands/Working Environment: Working outdoors in various temperatures and conditions. Will wear various PPE (respirators, fall protection, etc.). Will travel on various land, water, and aircraft. Will sit and stand for several hours at a time. Lifting, climbing, pulling, pushing, squatting for various periods of time.
