Our client, one of the nation's largest suppliers of disposable food service packaging, janitorial equipment and supply, restaurant equipment and supply, retail and industrial packaging, and custom-designed packaging, has an immediate need for a Project Estimator


POSITION SUMMARY

The Project Estimator is responsible for accurate estimates, analyzing client budgets and specifications, monitoring market trends on how to position organizational outlooks and project activities to ensure the project is on time and on budget. This position is an integral member of the project management team.


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for material, labor, equipment, subcontractors.

Analyze written specifications and drawings to perform accurate estimates.

Collaborate with the Project Management Team, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation.

Generate project bid status reports to include current and future estimates.

Lead contractual documentation such as preparing quotes, sales agreements, bid forms, P&P bonds, and OCIP/CCIP paperwork.

Collaborate with Customers, Owners, Chef's, General Contractors, Manufacturers Sales Reps and others to finalize estimates.

Review change orders and obtain management approval.

Build positive relationships with existing and potential customers.

Identify new markets for organizational growth.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university; Education may be substituted with related experience.


Skills:

Must have excellent mathematical and analytical skills;

Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Bluebeam. Autoquotes and Netsuite proficiency is preferred;

Demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative team environment;

Must be able to work independently while handling multiple priorities and responsibilities;

Must have strong problem-solving, time management, organization, attention to detail and customer service skills;

Strong verbal and written communication skills are required;


PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, and walk; talk or hear, both in person and by telephone; use hands repetitively to handle or feel office or mechanical tools/equipment. It also requires occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and crawling. May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
