Project Engineer Location: Orlando, FL Job ID: Pay Range: $29-35 Job Description The Project Engineer position within the Integration, Test & Evaluation (IT&E) Organization is a key role in supporting the E&T labs strategic initiatives. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for performing monitoring, control, and support functions across multiple E&T labs, ensuring that project are completed on time. To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record of meeting project deadlines, as well as the ability to access and analyze data, identify trends, and develop innovative solutions. You will also assist in strategic initiatives such as rehabbing functional spaces, improving lab efficiency, and implementing process improvements. Specific Description:
As a Project Engineer, you will contribute to strategic initiatives such as lab space rehabilitation, efficiency improvements, and process enhancements. Additionally, you will assist in maintaining day-to-day lab compliance with company policies and procedures through 6S initiatives, manage schedules and deadlines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to achieve lab objectives. You will work closely with other teams to achieve lab goals and objectives, and will be expected to provide support and guidance to lab personnel as needed. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and drive process improvements. Basic Job Requirements:
Ability to obtain secret clearance
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education
Self-starter able to perform tasks and develop solutions with minimal supervision
Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills with the ability to work within a diverse workforce
Ability to understand policies and procedures
Detail-oriented approach to documentation, record- keeping, and operational protocols
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced and deadline-driven environments
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs
Must be US Citizen Desired Skills:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial engineering, laboratory, sustainment, or manufacturing environment
Experience with data base tracking systems including the service request system
