VGC Group Lowestoft are delighted to be recruiting for a Project Engineer (Mechanical & Electrical) on behalf of our industry leading client in Leiston, Suffolk.
This role is offered initially as a 3 month contract with the view to be made a permanent employee.
The successful candidate will:
Monitor the project delivery, identify risk and opportunities and work with key stakeholders to optimise project delivery.
Assess the constructability of the proposed design and ensure the Design teams produce feasible designs inline with deadlines.
Lead the delivery of construction works, ensure compliance with all company processes and protocols.
Review and approve contractor documents when delegated.
Proofread and approve drawings.
Act as Test Team Leader where appropriate.
Requirements:
HNC/HND in either Electrical or C&I discipline (advantageous)
Knowledge of HSE and CDM Legislation
Strong commercial awareness
Strong communication and problem solving skills
Clear understanding and experiencer of the requirements for handover and self certification of the works
