At River City Construction, our Project Engineers are essential to the successful delivery of our projects. They support the project team through every stage of construction-helping ensure projects are thoughtfully planned, well-executed, and delivered safely, on time, and within budget.
Project Engineers work closely with Project Managers, Field Operations, and other departments to support all technical, coordination, and documentation efforts on a job. They help track project progress, maintain critical information, and collaborate across the team to keep things moving forward efficiently and effectively.
We offer a flexible work environment that supports meeting team members where they are at in both work and life-while keeping project needs and deadlines top of mind. Flexibility may vary depending on specific project requirements. While a hybrid work arrangement may be available for this role, additional on-site presence will likely be required during the initial training and onboarding period to support integration, team collaboration, and hands-on project understanding.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Support: Assist Project and Field Operations team members with day-to-day project operations, including scheduling, procurement, document management, and coordination with subcontractors and vendors.
Field Coordination: Help manage and track jobsite activities, RFIs, submittals, daily reports, and progress photos. Attend project meetings and assist with site walk-throughs and safety protocols.
Documentation & Communication: Maintain up-to-date project records, assist with internal and external reporting, and help communicate project updates to clients, design teams, and partners.
Problem Solving: Support issue resolution in the field, assist with change management processes, and help drive solutions that align with project goals, safety, and quality standards.
Technology & Tools: Utilize project management software and other digital tools to support scheduling, cost tracking, and reporting efforts.
At RCC, we're committed to building great projects-and great teams. If you're passionate about construction, learning, and being part of a collaborative team, we'd love to talk with you.
