The primary role of this position is to provide the project management and technical leadership, for the overhaul, rewind, and manufacture of Electric Motors/Generators and other electrical power transmission equipment. This position reports to the Schulz Engineering & Quality Assurance Manager. The incumbent at times will be involved with the reverse engineering and design as required. The incumbent provides technical evaluations to support customer quotation requests and works with all members of the site team to achieve promised on-time delivery commitments and financial objectives. Occasional travel required ( Essential Responsibilities:
• Oversee the disassembly, determination of failure mode and required scope of repair on equipment
• Provide technical leadership to the East Haven facility in new applications and aftermarket opportunities, specifically focused on Engineered solutions and Design upgrades
• Support and provide guidance to Regional Service Center operations and test departments
• Review of customer technical requirements and specifications
• Use established standards and procedures for overhaul, rewind, and manufacture of new products to meet customer requirements within the QC and design standards set by the company, EASA, IEEE, and Nuc 10CFR50 Appendix B, to include creation of job travelers and test paperwork
• Liaison to sales, supply chain, quality, and operations for technical support
• Technical Oversight of winding, assembly, and final product testing to ensure quality standards and on-time delivery commitments are met
• Review specifications and implement, changes and/or upgrades for reverse engineered equipment for motor aftermarket opportunities after approval by Schulz Engineering Manager
• Provide final reports as required per contract
• Work as part of global TPS engineering team
• Support Customer Service and Sales teams
• Be a steward of the company's assets, brand, reputation and investments
• Ensure that the highest ethical and commercial standards are maintained
• Ensure 100% on time, on specification and on budget, standard operating procedures and strategy objectives are met Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in engineering, project management and/or AC and DC Electric Motor & Control
• Skilled in all basic MS Office products
• Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and organization
• Ability to work as part of a team and the ability to interact with all levels of customers and internal support teams
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
• Strong systemic mindset and problem-solving skills
• Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze and interpret critical data
