Position Summary:
We're seeking a driven Project Engineer to join the Municipal Team in a remote role supporting capital equipment projects in the water/wastewater space, for a leading Water Treatment company. This is a unique opportunity to work in a specification-driven, fast-paced environment focused on delivering complete mechanical systems into municipal infrastructure.
You'll play a key role in interpreting engineering specifications, developing technical documentation, and working directly with internal teams, consulting engineers, and end users to ensure projects are executed efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Interpret engineering specs and translate into submittals, drawings, and technical documents
- Collaborate with drafting, application engineering, and internal fulfillment teams
- Assemble and manage project documentation throughout the project lifecycle
- Communicate with consulting engineers and municipal end users
- Review and coordinate mechanical equipment and system layouts
- Support the transition of projects from sale through fulfilment
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3-8+ years of relevant engineering experience
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred (Civil or Environmental Engineering with mechanical aptitude also considered)
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components; familiarity with controls and electrical schematics is a plus
- Experience with engineering documentation, submittals, and reading technical drawings
- Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, small-team environment
- Experience with Salesforce and/or SAP is beneficial
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Autodesk, and Microsoft Office
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience in the municipal water/wastewater or equipment manufacturing industry highly preferred
